Dirk’s shooting with Men at Play this afternoon, so we decided to get our workout in early… and I caught him doing this. So I filmed it. Call it a celebratory dance for the repeal of DOMA. But still… what a goofball.

He’s a goodlooking guy but it’s a shame he couldn’t have built his physique without resorting to dangerous steroid drugs and that look that looks so artificial to anyone outside the obsessive bodybuilding community.
Um, isn’t that a little bit inappropriate? I mean, would you say something like that to my husband’s face? 🙁
As a matter of fact I’ve been saying that to “men’s faces” for years. I don’t get it, why can’t athletic men be proud of the way they look naturally built & muscular, without having to resort to stupid artificial dangerous drugs (steroids that fuck with your vital inner organs as well as hypertrophy your muscles) merely for increased mass.
I’m reminded that there was a time when the idea of marijuana as a medical treatment was scoffed at, and now it’s recommended as a primary source of treatment for glaucoma, chemotherapy-induced nausea, and various other ailments… or that a “stupid artificial dangerous drug” such as oxycontin, when used properly, has vastly improved the lives of chronic pain sufferers everywhere. And testosterone — a naturally-occuring steroid — is used to combat wasting and improve quality of life in HIV-infected men (see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9402072). My point is that some drugs, no matter how much they were (or even are) stigmatized by society, can and do have legitimate benefits when employed wisely and safely. With that in mind, I don’t believe it’s fair to condemn steroids use just because they can be abused. Hell, even aspirin can kill you… and it’s been available over the counter since 1899!
Comparing and equating legitimate physician-prescribed medications for treatment of disease and genuine medical ailments with questionable substances such as steroids and HGH that are picked up on the black market for use by men singularly obsessed with cosmetic physique enlargement ? Surely you’re not serious.

Someday I’ll write a book about this.
And I will buy it.
Everyone makes a mistake sometime in their lifetime. Give him a break. And Jesse I am right with you on this.
Think you are making broad strokes with characterizing it as a mistake. They are in porn, a competitive environment, which means having to look your best. If that means cutting corners…well, then by all means. Dirk knows what he is doing.
Jesse
I don’t know why you have to deal with this on your blog 🙁 <3
Anyhow love the video and being a goofball just makes Dirk all the more cute. 🙂
It's been a very special day, don't let anything bring you down. ((( <3 )))
Jesse and Dirk love to play martyr and imply that it is tough being a porn star! Sob. Sniff.
You should try it sometime… it’s not easy. There’s a reason why, sadly, some guys (and women) run into trouble. It helps to have a level head. I’m really glad I do what I do, and Dirk feels the same way — it can be very rewarding work — but it’s not a cakewalk I assure you.
Goofy but sweet…reminds me of the muscle guys that Carly Simon had in her video for “My New Boyfriend”, back when…MAN, did I just date myself! I will stop talking now, and just admire Dirk’s muscles….
I was in my mid-twenties. Darn!
I don’t see the point in celebrating when you won’t get married, but whatever!!
We’re celebrating that gays and lesbians have finally achieved equal rights in our country. That’s reason enough for us. 🙂
That is a very good thing to celebrate.
I am finding that some of the responses to your last post and video are way too negative.
Lighten up people!
