America is Not a Simulation

SimCity Godzilla (New)

Note: I originally wrote this article for Huffington Post on October 10, 2016. You can find it on the HuffPost website here.

When I was a kid, I used to like to play SimCity. Actually… that’s misleading. I didn’t exactly play it. I didn’t have the patience to build cities from scratch or try to manage one of the fully-developed ones that came with the game. Instead, I would load a pre-made city — Boston was my favorite — and unleash as many disasters on it as I could. Earthquakes, tornadoes… there was even a Godzilla! What can I say… I was only 15 at the time and that sort of stuff was fun to watch. Then I’d delight in the destruction that I had caused, quit the game (without saving), and come back and do it again.

That’s what I’m reminded of when I hear people talk about electing Donald Trump as a “destabilizing force” who will “blow up Washington” and build a new, presumably better system in its place. I understand the rationale, in theory — burn down what you perceive as a broken system so that a phoenix may rise from its ashes — but I have a couple of problems with that. First, is Trump really a good choice to do the rebuilding? Does he have the experience required to handle what would be a monumentally complex and delicate task? And how he envisions this “America Reborn” is still maddeningly unclear to me. He says it’s supposed to be great again, but that’s really all we know. Where are the specifics? I’m not sure Donald himself knows the answer to that question.

Second, and more importantly, is that I believe that our current system of government, for the most part, works. Yeah, it’s not perfect… far from it, in fact. Watching the Congressional deadlock over the last six years has been excruciating, and our economic recovery from the Great Recession isn’t as fast as many would like it to be. But our country is by and large successful, it’s resilient, and in the course of a measly 240 years — a drop in the historical bucket — we’ve become that “shining city on a hill” that Reagan so optimistically portrayed in 1980, and stayed there. Yeah, we can do better. We can always do better. But we’re already doing pretty damn good, and I believe that to blow it up now would be a devastating blow to our democracy… clearing the way for a demagogue like Trump to fill the ensuing vacuum. But there’s no “King of America” for a reason. Our Founding Fathers envisioned our country as a democracy, not an authoritarian regime. So when Donald Trump uses phrases like “I alone can fix this,” it quite frankly scares the crap out of me.

The kid in me still appreciates the appeal of unleashing Godzilla just to see what happens, and what kind of destruction it would wreak. But America isn’t a simulation. There’s much more at stake here, and you have to live with the consequences of the devastation you unleash. You can’t just hit reset and start again. We should elect a leader who understands that, and knows that while we have to keep improving, we should also appreciate and cherish what we’ve already accomplished and just how far we’ve come.

New! Anthony London pounds Luke Adams in Say Uncle (NSFW video)

In the new TitanMen/Jasun Mark film Say Uncle, Luke Adams is helping out his best friend’s uncle Anthony London, the owner of Desert HVAC, Inc. (“Blowing hard since 1996!”). Lucky for Luke, his first task is a very close inspection of Anthony’s pipe. Here’s the free NSFW trailer:

If you like what you see, you can watch or download Luke and Anthony’s entire 40 minute scene here with your TitanMen membership. Not a member yet? Sign up here for instant streaming or download access to the full TitanMen catalog — literally thousands of scenes – for less than a dollar a day!

I’ve posted all the official promotional, action, and behind-the-scenes photos from Luke and Anthony’s scene below. Enjoy!

By the way, while I haven’t filmed with Luke yet (hopefully someday!), I did top Anthony in the TitanMen film Scruffy. Watch our scene here!

Behind-the-Scenes:

You never know what you’ll find inside a Bible…

I’m used to seeing my pics turn up on Twitter or Tumblr, but here’s something… different. When Dirk and I were up in Montreal a few weeks ago, I logged into Scruff* (as one does) to find a rather, um, unusual message from a fellow Bostonian who was also up for the weekend. It read:

openquoteHey mister! Fellow Flag footballer from Boston here, just curious and sorry for the forwardness, but is this a pic of you in my hotel bible?!”

And then I opened the attached photo and started laughing:

Okay… I know there’s a first time for everything, but this is pretty amazing. I can honestly say that I never, ever thought I’d be tucked away inside a Bible, let alone a French one. J’aime Montréal!

I’ve posted the rest of my conversation with the guy from Boston, whose name is Steve, below. He’s a cutie! By the way, I correctly guessed the name of the hotel that he and his friends were staying in, but I know that a lot of Americans stay there when visiting Montreal, so it was a little more than blind luck.

I can’t help but wonder where I’ll turn up next!

*Scruff is an app, similar to Grindr, that finds other guys in your area (or globally) who are interested in chatting, meeting for coffee, hooking up, etc. Dirk and I have met some amazing guys on there, and had more than a few mind-blowing hookups. But mostly we just use it to chat with good folks from around the world.

It’s my 5 year porniversary… but the gifts are for you! (Video)

The preview from my very first film, Surveillance, shot 5 years ago today. Look how young I look!

It’s hard to believe, but exactly 5 years ago today I wrapped my very first porn shoot, Surveillance with Hunter Marx! And what a remarkable 5 years it’s been. I’ve met and worked with and some truly amazing people, and many of them have become like family to me — I’m looking at you, TitanMen crew! My porn career got me a sweet gig blogging for HuffPost. And of course, I met the love of my life through my work in the industry. And so many other great things have happened that are far too numerous to mention in a single blog post.

Through it all — day in and day out — you guys (and, to our great delight but initial surprise, you gals) have been right there with us. You’ve given me and Dirk encouragement and support, and — even though you might not know it — you picked us up when we were down… and asked nothing in return. Thank you. Dirk and I hope that along the way we’ve been able to pick a few of you up as well… or at least get you off!

And now for the good stuff! They say one is supposed to get wood (I’m not kidding) for a 5th anniversary present… but they also say that it’s better to give than to receive, so to celebrate my 5 year porniversary, here’s some new footage from my very first shoot! These are a couple of long-forgotten clips from the set of Surveillance. The first is behind-the-scenes video from the photo shoot we did for the DVD cover (remember DVDs?) and the promotional artwork for the film. Brian Mills also gives some fascinating insight into how much more involved the photo shoots were 25 years ago:

The second clip is an on-camera interview that my co-star Hunter Marx and I did immediately after wrapping our scene, exactly 5 years ago today:

I hope you enjoyed these little nuggets from the past. If you want to watch the completed version of the scene, you can do so here.

I can’t wait to see what the next five years will bring!

With much love and appreciation and respect always,
Jesse Jackman

NSFW VIDEO: Fire Island sex show with me, Dirk, and Hugh Hunter!

Last Thursday, Dirk and I appeared live at Cherry’s on the Bay on Fire Island for their weekly BLOW party. The crowd was great, and we had a ton of fun giving out free body shots. The organizer of the event encouraged us to get frisky on stage, so we did… and what started out as simple making out progressively turned to sucking, rimming, and — finally — full-on fucking at the end of the night. I love my job.

Here are a couple of videos I shot of Dirk and Hugh during their portion of the stage show. I’m also posting a few pics I took. If anybody shot any other video or took pics at the event, please let me know… Dirk, Hugh, and I would love to see ’em! (By the way, did you know I was Hugh’s first ever scene partner, in TitanMen’s Blue Collar Ballers? You can watch our scene together at http://jack.mn/bcb-scene2).
