A Hair-Razing Experience
I’ve been shaving my head for almost 10 years… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my barbers (sensible Vicki and her insane cousin Mark… or, as he pronounced it, “Maaaaahk”), but I can’t say I miss trekking all the way out to Roslindale every 6 weeks or so to sit around waiting for an hour; Vicki and Maaaaahk were quite talented, but as a result had tons of customers. Besides, I’d been steadily losing my hair for a couple of years, so they really had very little to do.
The first day I shaved it was July 3, 2003… my 30th birthday. I was completely prepared, having done my research and bought one of these (which I still use from time to time). I was kind of embarrassed… so when I met my friends for dinner that night, I wore a baseball cap. My friend Jamie must have suspected something; “Let’s see it,” he instructed almost immediately. So I reluctantly removed the lid. The reaction, much to my surprise, was positive; my friends loved my new look.
I had been afraid of losing my hair; I’d even tried Rogaine in my late 20s, but to no avail. At first I thought that shaving my head was the ultimate sign of defeat: alopecia had won. I quickly learned to embrace my new look, though. Soon I grew a goatee to pair with the bald noggin (they were especially popular in 2004; I remember most of the hockey players in the NHL playoffs were favoring them over the more traditional “playoff beard”). Within a couple of years, the goatee had become a beard, which I’ve had ever since. I’m pretty happy with the way I look now, and don’t foresee changing it anytime soon. Bald is beautiful! These days I shave about 2 or 3 times a week; in fact, I shaved my head just this morning, and took the above pic when I did.

Shadow Fucking
There’s something about this clip that I find incredibly hot. It’s only 14 seconds long, and it suffers from “vertical video syndrome,” but I don’t care. The audio is amazing, and the shadows drive my imagination crazy. It’s like there’s something going on just around the corner that would make my head explode. Fucking awesome!
Maybe part of it is that I recognize that sexy shadow (and congratulations to my Facebook fans Angel R. and Mikel S. for guessing correctly): It’s my hubby Dirk Caber — looking as incredible as ever, even in silhouette — topping Will Swagger (who provides most of the head-exploding audio) in their scene from Titan’s Pumped, Pissed, and Pounded. Down and Dirty and Done: Brian Mills’ Final Scene at TitanMen
What an honor. Brian Mills, who’s been making films at Titan since the very beginning, directed his final scene last May before retiring… and I got to be in it. As I learned later, he had hand-picked a bunch of his favorite performers for his final run: Hunter Marx, Jessy Ares, David Anthony, Race Cooper, Kyle Quinn, Jessie Colter… and for his very last scene, Adam Russo… and ME. Wow.
The film, Down and Dirty, came out a couple of weeks ago, and to celebrate its release, Titan director Jasun Mark just posted this awesome behind-the-scenes footage from when we wrapped. (And yup, that’s me running in to give Brian a big congratulatory hug… I’m still covered in sweat from filming, hence Brian’s shocked reaction!)
Brian directed three of my scenes (in Command Performance and Fast Friends, in addition to the aforementioned Down and Dirty) and was also responsible for taking the amazing promotional photos that accompanied each release. From the very beginning, despite my doubts, he kept encouraging me that I could not just do this, but do it well… even if I wasn’t entirely convinced of that myself. I remember one moment early on when I was still really nervous and having a bit of, um, “performance anxiety”… but Brian took me aside and quietly uttered these words of encouragement that I’ll never forget: “Relax,” he said. “I’m gonna make you a better performer.” And he did.
So Brian… thank you. Thanks for believing in me. Thanks for your encouragement. And thanks for helping make this the experience of a lifetime. (By the way, I’ve got a funny feeling that Brian may be back to “guest-direct” a film or two down the road. If he does… well… I’d love to work with him again.)
Announcing the title of Titan’s holiday release… with exclusive BTS video!

Brian Mills has had enough of this shit
In this behind-the-scenes video from the filming of Incubus 2, TitanMen lead director Brian Mills (who assisted first-time director François Sagat) describes some of the problems we experienced while filming my scene with Christopher Daniels and the grapes in Palm Springs last fall. (Mobile users can watch the video here.) Thunder, lightning, sirens, lawnmowers, leaf blowers… it’s all there, along with a particularly agitating distraction when we were trying to film my cumshot. Considering all the problems, I find it pretty amazing that François, crack editor T.P. Deaux, and the rest of the Titan team were able to turn I2 into the huge hit it eventually became.

Fluffer: Just another service I offer.
“Does Titan hire fluffers, and how can I become one?”
I get that question a lot. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated “fluffer” on set… at least not in the traditional sense. The term was originally used to refer to the person on set who would “clean up” a pornographic actor between takes (apply make-up, supply lube, wipe away sweat etc.) so that the actor wouldn’t need to change position… kind of like “fluffing the pillows” without rearranging the furniture. The job is now more commonly referred to as “production assistant,” but the urban legend of keeping the actor aroused persists to this day.
The truth is that we actors keep each other aroused… as Christopher Daniels and I are more than happy to demonstrate in the above behind-the-scenes video from the set of Incubus 2. Enjoy.

One unguarded moment with François Sagat
The above behind-the-scenes clip was filmed last September, when I was working under the direction of François Sagat for the filming of Incubus. Jasun Mark did an excellent job putting this video together. He compiled film from several cameras and created a continuous narrative of the filming process, using both production footage and behind-the-scenes material. It’s awesome!
I wasn’t even aware that this was being filmed, but I’m really glad it was, because it captured something pretty cool that I never thought would see the light of day. There’s a moment during all that wrestling around when — just for a second — François simply can’t contain his laughter. After a couple of seconds, though, he composes himself and returns to the task at hand. That’s a great example of his personality, right there: he’s always the consummate professional, but no matter what’s going on, he always has this great sense of humor lurking just beneath the surface. It’s really great to see it bubble over once in a while. I’m so thrilled that this moment was caught on film.

Conquering my fears
I’ve always had three irrational fears: electrical current, hot wax, and balloons (don’t ask). As you can see in this behind-the-scenes clip, the Loud and Nasty scene that Dirk and I filmed went a long way to helping me conquer fear #1. I’m hoping my next Titan Rough film will somehow involve hot wax — like in my buddy Shay Michaels’ hot scene with Leo Forte in Submit — so I can address fear #2. Fear #3, though, is probably going to be with me for life… unless Titan decides to make a sequel to Funhouse.
